6:30 – Registration and cocktails at Sono Café at Tampa Museum of Art

7:30 – Walk begins

Tour provided by City of Tampa, Art Programs Division

(Approximate walking time 1 hr, 2.6 miles)

This tour begins at the Tampa Museum of Art's Sono Cafe and continues south down the Tampa Riverwalk. Walking tour participants will experience the Lights on Tampa bridge lighting from the Riverwalk, and will experience other light-based artworks, such as on facades of buildings and an illuminated streetcar stop. The tour will continue onto the Waterfront district on the south-end of downtown, making stops at several sculptural elements along the Riverwalk and throughout the Central Business District, including the tallest sculpture in Florida, Lightning by Jonathan Borofsky, appropriately located at the Amalie Arena - the home of the Bolts! The Tour will end at the Sail Pavilion, a 360 degree waterfront bar along the river's edge. (Note: Participants will be able to follow the Riverwalk route back at their own leisure, to the Tampa Museum of Art, the starting point of the tour).
